  Home -- Mares

The breeding program here at Caer Avallach Farm is kept small purposefully so that each and every foal born here is handled daily and receives a strong foundation right from birth.

We currently have two mares on the farm and one on lease from Champlain Isle Farm. Woodland's Maggie Mae is foaled a filly on May 12, 2007 and has now produced four fantastic foals by Avallach's Irish Whiskey. Two of her foals, Avallach's Irish Rose and Random Chance (pictured below at Devon), represented her in the 2002 Devon Horse & Pony Show Produce of Dam class in which they were awarded second place. Both also won individual ribbons in their classes.

Quillane Tica is the daughter of Maggie Mae by the Welsh Section B stallion, Tamarack Quill. She had a beautiful bay filly by Whiskey in May of 2005 that we just adore and is now on lease for a 2007 foal.
